News from North Rockhampton

Father’s Day in September brought the North Rockhampton Catholic Community together as we remembered Dad’s, Grandad’s, Pop’s, Pa’s & father figures in our lives.  We love and thank them, we prayed for them and the school children provided a small gift as a thank you for all they have done for us over the years and in our daily lives.

All parishioners are now used to the new normal of COVID contact tracing, booking for Mass and cleaning after Mass.   A special thanks to our Parishioners who happily grab a mask, gloves, and spray bottle to ensure the churches provide a healthy environment for everyone to return to Mass.North_Rocky_1.jpg

Baptisms are also making a return to our churches.  Multiple Baptisms are a regular feature on the church calendar as families catch up after a number of postponements during the church closures.  At this stage, the Baptisms have been conducted at Holy Family due to the larger church size, which allows more family and friends to attend, while still maintaining social distancing and number restrictions.

The school children are currently on holidays.  The school Masses at Holy Family on Tuesdays, St Mary’s on Wednesday and Our Lady Help of Christians on Friday have recommenced, we invite all parishioners to join with the children to celebrate Mass.  To ensure we maintain our numbers please register with our Parish Office .

Whilst numbers returning to our churches is still restricted, Mass attendance is steadily building.  We encourage everyone to either book online or contact our church office to make a booking for Mass at any of our Parish churches.
