In Memory of Marie Messer
Last Thursday 11 February, family, friends and community members gathered at St Patrick's, Blackall for the Requiem Mass of Marie Messer. Ma
rie was a life long parishioner and a hard working woman heavily involved in Parish and community life. She was a dedicated educator, working for nearly 40 years as a teacher, only to take up a role assisting adults with their literacy skills upon 'retirement'. Marie had a talent and passion for music ministry, being one of the organists and an active member of the choir. She was an integral part of the Parish Pastoral Council and could be found lending a hand with whatever needed doing. In the last few years Marie has not enjoyed the best health, and we pray that she is now at rest with the Lord.
